Some past projects involving Lordland have been the Blue Route Mall and Neelsie.
In 1987 Lordland renovated and enlarged the 25000m² Blue Route Center in Tokai Cape Town on behalf of a major South African pension fund. The center was expanded to 44000m² and was sold on completion to a listed property trust in 1990.
In 1993 Lordland was invited by one of South Africa's premier academic institutions, the University of Stellenbosch, to assist in a unique project. The student center affectionately known as "Neelsie" was a grey forbidding structure and the concept was to convert it into a lively 5000m² shopping center with a tenant mix tailored to it's market. The project had the challange of producing a product of commercial viability whilst retaining the student ambiance of one of South Africa's most prestigious universities.
